"TRIAINA" is an undersea monument, created in the hope that all humankind will continue to reflect and act on our relationship with nature.
Concrete, considered to be a material destructive of nature, has been combined with amino acids to become a new concept element, "Amino Acid Concrete". This concrete exudes amino acids, nourishing algae and plankton, giving birth to a quality environment for all marine life. Art for the betterment of the environment, where humankind and all living beings coexist in harmony with nature. This is "TRIAINA".
The Triaina ("Trident") was carried by the gods Triton and Poseidon in Greek mythology. We named this art project "TRIAINA" to signify the coexistence of humankind, all living beings and nature.
One direction leading us to a brighter future is creativity based on speculative design, with each individual embracing challenges through daily thoughts and actions.
It has been eight years since the Great East Japan Earthquake and the public's interest has started to wane. But "TRIAINA" will not allow the memory of this terrible disaster to fade away. We call on all humankind to continue reflecting on the coexistence of humanity and nature.
For this monument, we introduced a new concept in technological materials, "Amino Acid Concrete". This concrete exudes amino acids, nourishing algae and plankton, giving birth to a quality environment for all marine life.
Passion, Creativity, Technology and Speed. "TRIAINA" embodies the spirit of our motto, at the same time positioning us to meet Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
